• FITS:  This 1911 22 conversion kit fits all 1911 .45 ACP pistols whose dimensional tolerances meet those of the U.S. Government specifications including Iver Johnson, Colt series 70 & 80 Regular, Gold Cup and their clones.  If your model 1911 is not made to GI spec, fitting by a certified gunsmith may be required.  This unit also fits the Colt 1991A1.  CAUTION:  NO attempt should be made to use this conversion it on ANY double action 1911 firearm.
• OPERATING PRINCIPLE:  This 1911 22 Kit GBF operates on a direct blow back design, as do all other .22LR semi automatic firearms.
• LAST ROUND HOLD OPEN FEATURE?:  The magazine’s manufacturing technique does not allow for the last round hold open feature.
• INSTALLATION:  Field strip the firearm as your would for cleaning.  Remove the slide, barrel, and recoil spring.  Install the unit’s sub-caliber assembly.  Re-insert the take down pin and insert the unit’s magazine.  Approximate conversion time is ten seconds.
• FUNCTIONING:  The unit functions perfectly with good quality High Velocity and Hyper Velocity .22 LR ammunition.
• MATERIAL: Slide – The slide is machined on Mazak CNC equipment out of solid bar 7075 T6 Alloy.  This is the same alloy used in the construction of the F14 Tomcat, F16 Fighting Falcon, F18 Hornet, etc.
  Barrel – The barrel is machined from E. R. Shaw pre-rifled “match grade” 4140 gun barrel stock.
• WEIGHT:  This 1911 22 conversion kit weighs approximately 1 lb.
• MODIFICATIONS:  We do not authorize any modifications of the kit. Additionally, any modification voids all warranties expressed or implied.
